witnesses say a man drove through the town shooting at people at random from his car, injured at least tworks and two, and then pulled into the parking lot of his former workplace, he may have been fired and a witness says he was going after anybody and everybody. and you see the panic on the people who got out of that place. the sheriff says the man killed four to six peek and people and we are not sure why the number is unclear. and there were 20 to 30 people injured from minor to very severe. workers who survived the mass massacre described terror. >> i thought i heard my husband's voice and i won't be happy until i see him in person. i feel like i'm in a nightmare and i just can't believe the guy

across the street from us. it's like ten feet away and i don't even now how to feel. he could have came and shot us up, i mean, there are little kids that live there. >> multiple coworkers and media outleets have identified the gunman at credit rick cedric ford. and one video shows him shooting right there what appears to be an assault rifle in the field. the things you find on people's open facebook pages. there was another photo of him with a handgun in his lab lap and what appeared to be a bottle of alcohol in his car, and his page says he is from ma'am miami and apparently he has a record there. and yes, he was shot dead by police after they went into the

the gulf where the wind is coming in off the water near the coast you have 49 in wauchula, and 46 in lakeland, but near the coast, milder. winds are slowly subsiding and they will pick up again in speed tomorrow. watch the future cast with a front going by late tonight and then it's about watching this area of high pressure slowly building in from the gulf. this is sunday at 7:00 a.m. and the front is well south of us, the high is still west of us meaning we are cool, and by monday and tuesday the high will slip to the east and we start moderating and wait for another front to arrive sometimes wednesday. winds off of the water and satellite radar has lots of snow

winda ynd winday and cold, birmingham 44 degrees and snow here -- oh, look at this, this is leave in beach mountain, south carolina. they are making snow tonight and if you want to see snow, hop on the interstate, and head up for the mountains. a northeast wind at 30 miles per hour and 29 degrees. so really winter is not that far away. we stay in the 40's and 50's near the coasts and tomorrow it's going to be a nice day especially in the sun. talking about highs in the low to mid 60's. we'll slowly warm up over the weekend and by monday and tuesday we are back into the 70's. and so again, watching watching high pressure well to our west. we'll have patchy clouds late tonight and cool, down to 49 degrees.

any clouds burn off, breezy and a high up to 61. the trend continues on saturday, sunny and cool, in the low 60's. after that, sunday is a great day. do you remember how nice last weekend was? it was fantastic. this weekend it's equally as good, especially on sunday, near 70. and then on wednesday, another front going by and it may be another severe-weather producer. we'll see how that plays out next week. until then, enjoy tomorrow and certainly the weekend. >> we certainly will, the weekend looks great. and coming up, would you like to choose your baby's gender? >> some celebrities are paying big bucks to do it. how it works after the break, but our sports reporter chip carter is retiring tomorrow after years with us.

for us it's a chilly night but there is a big influence of the wind coming in off of the gulf. take a look. you just inland and plant city is 49. new tampa 51. 44 in disifer did he ever in zephyrhills. the wind dramatically warms up the carolinas coastline at night in the winter time, and then inland away from the gulf reading in the 40's and low 50's. there has to be a little weak front going by, a ribbon of clouds and you could see clouds tomorrow morning and then the sun comes back and the next couple of days in a word look fantastic. yeah, a little chilly tomorrow but by sunday we'll be back into the 70's, and here is the outlook for tomorrow.
